I read a quote over the weekend that said "Time is a blessing". No one does anything to get it, no one can do anything to buy it, and it is not promised to any person.
Then I started thinking about how I have been using my time. My thought was, concerning myself, how could I have been so ignorant. I have wasted my time on ignorant people, ignorant moments, ignorant situations, and ignorant emotions. I am using the term ignorant as the colloquialism that means stupid.
Last week I said how mistakes are experiences. But sometimes we waste time trying to make a relationship, whether friendship or otherwise; a situation, a job, a business opportunity, or a moment something that it is not or will ever become.
Some of us are repeat offenders. We go into something with our eyes wide shut and we have this tiny inkling of exactly what it is but we ignore it. We become "ignorant" to it.
We become a slave to what we want something to be and not what it actually is.
Some of the greatest CEOs and generals in history became great because they were able to look at reality dead on with its flaws and all.
How do you do such a thing:
Be courageous, know that you are equipped to handle your life.
Value you! You would not let anyone drive your Mercedes, why let anything or anyone crowd your life.
Take inventory! Look at what people, emotions, and situations should not be in your life.
In order to redecorate a room sometimes you have to move the old furniture out. Its the same for your life.
Live on purpose and be courageous.
